The KURRE Team has developed a new Bypass-Control-System (BCS) which will significantly reduce the scrap length during the production of data and high frequency cables. By using this system cable producers can easily put a foamed cable into operation at the ideal operating point, e.g. when starting a new production or after an interruption (wire break, etc.). This is possible because the BSC allows to set exactly each melt pressure value inside the extruder. Because the melt is not pressed through the crosshead, the parameters of the process are already in a stationary state during start-up.
The intelligent bypass control system: dramatically less scrap at each production start, higher efficiency and lower costs.
