From Germany to Sweden \u2013 Arne’s semester abroad<\/b><\/p>\n

Arne is currently working as a dual student at KURRE. \ud83c\udf93 He already completed his bachelor\u2019s degree in mechatronics. But that wasn\u2019t the end of his academic journey. Naturally, KURRE also supported him in pursuing a master\u2019s degree in electrical engineering.\u26a1 During his studies at the Jade Hochschule Wilhelmshaven, Arne spent a semester abroad in Sweden. Today, he shares his experiences:<\/p>\n

In freezing temperatures and two months without sunlight, I encountered snow, ice and a fascinating culture. \u2744\ufe0f My goal was to step out of my comfort zone and understand how Swedes interact with their environment. Mid Sweden University course \u201cAutonomous Sensors\u201d impressed me with its focus on machine learning in energy-efficient embedded systems.<\/p>\n

Studying at MIUN was personal and hands-on. The Swedish language course helped me integrate much more easily.\ud83e\udd1d Life in Sundsvall was peaceful, yet full of opportunities. The nature and national parks were breathtaking, and the people were friendly and supportive.<\/p>\n

A highlight was my trip to Lapland \u2013 dog sledding \ud83d\udc15\u200d\ud83d\udef7, northern lights \ud83c\udf0c, and icy adventures!\u2744\ufe0f I learned that Sweden is a country of punctuality, order, and coziness. People value calm and composure but also love to celebrate.\ud83c\udf89<\/p>\n

My conclusion? I am grateful for the support from KURRE and glad I took this opportunity. I gained a lot \u2013 both professionally and personally. Sweden was truly an enriching experience.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>
