Continuously Evolving: Flange Driven Winders by KURRE Systems
Winding technology is the core business at KURRE Systems – and today, our focus is on flange driven winders.
Thanks to our many years of experience, we understand the specific requirements of our customers and their products. We consistently translate this expertise into high-performance machines and systems. Flexibility and adaptability are the keys to our success.
Our flange driven winders, impress with their versatile designs. They are available as individual pay-off or take-up units, as well as dual winders with two winding stations. Particularly in combination with taping or braiding machines, our combined flange driven winders – featuring one winding station for pay-off and one for take-up – have proven to be highly efficient and space-saving.
Over the years, various compact designs have been established, characterized by their high practical suitability. One example is the optional spool lifting function, which significantly simplifies the loading process for operators: spools are simply rolled onto a ramp and then automatically lifted into the winder and precisely positioned at the push of a button. This makes handling heavy spools much easier and equally efficient for all operators.
A major advancement is our special flange driven winder for particularly heavy spools. Here, loading takes place entirely at floor level; a sophisticated mechanism automatically lifts the spool onto the rollers – ergonomic, safe, and efficient. Heavy-duty rollers with Vulkollan coating ensure a consistently reliable winding process.
Custom solutions are also one of our strengths: for example, a double flange driven pay-off with integrated dancer accumulator was developed for overlapping operation. With a storage capacity of around 10 meters, it enables uninterrupted production processes.
All KURRE winders share one essential feature: gentle product handling via roller or dancer take-off.
