Apprentice Meeting in September
Under the theme “Purchasing—Much More Than Just Placing Orders,” our apprentices gained exciting insights into the Purchasing Department.
The department head presented the diverse tasks and responsibilities of the department and demonstrated how important purchasing is for our company’s daily operations. It became clear that purchasing involves far more than simply procuring materials. From selecting suitable suppliers to negotiating prices and contracts, and ensuring that materials are delivered on time, the department plays a key role in ensuring that our projects can be successfully implemented.
Our trainees also learned how important close collaboration with other departments is and how costs can be optimized and supply bottlenecks avoided through forward-looking planning, market monitoring, and strategic decisions.
