Giving young people a perspective

Giving young people a perspective –

that has always been a priority for KURRE. This motivated us to participate as an exhibitor at the second “Azubiwelt” in the Saterland school centre. But that’s not all: Since the first apprenticeship exhibition last year, KURRE has also played a key role in planning and organising it. Over 400 pupils, alongside their teachers and parents, benefited from the opportunity to learn about diverse training opportunities provided by almost 40 exhibitors in the area of Saterland. In face-to-face conversations, numerous questions were answered, insights and also suggestions for alternatives were given.

We are always amazed with the number of enthusiastic young people we meet in this way. Soon-to-be school leavers in particular informed themselves about our numerous apprenticeships in the fields of electronics, metal construction, IT and office management. But also offers for internships were in great demand. For prospective students, the subjects of dual studies and final theses were interesting.

At KURRE, we prioritise helping individuals to make informed choices when starting their career with us. Because people who can identify with their profession are the ones who can enjoy their work and are committed to it. That’s why we offer the opportunity to spend a trial day with us, providing firsthand experience and insight into the company, professions, and potential colleagues. Through our partnerships with many local schools, pupils even have the opportunity to participate during school hours. For further details, please visit www.kurre-group.de.

But the necessary fun must not be neglected either. This was achieved through the installation of a new fortune wheel at our booth, designed and executed by our apprentices as part of a project. For the foodies, there was sweet popcorn according to the motto “Do it like corn, show what you’re made of”.

The “Azubiwelt” was launched last year by the association of interests “Saterländer Unternehmer e.V.”, of which KURRE Managing Director Stefan Plaggenborg is also the first chairman. We thank them for this great idea and hope for a repeat next year. We will definitely be part of the event again.
